The Model A3 is one of the rarest and highly sought-after models that Steinway produced between 1914 and 1945. It is only 2.5 inches longer than the standard Model A, but this slight increase makes a significant difference in sound. This 1917 Steinway Model A3, featuring an original soundboard, is in the process of being restored with new bridge caps, a new action, and refinished in satin ebony with a wood-toned stain inner rim. Once completed, it will resemble the piano shown in the first few photos and will play and sound like a brand-new Steinway, all at a fraction of the cost of a new model! The following photos display the actual piano we are restoring. The piano includes a matching bench.
