The History of Elburn Pianos

The Elburn piano line was manufactured for the J.W. Jenkins Music Company of Kansas City, Missouri. The line was produced from 1910-1964. [1] Although there is not much information available about Elburn pianos, it is notable that the line survived both the Great Depression and two World Wars. Quite the feat for any piano line in the 1900’s!

About Elburn Pianos

Found in upright, grand, player, spinet and console piano styles, the Elburn line was very popular both in Missouri and surrounding areas. Interestingly, for as popular as the line was and for as long as it was produced, there is little information available about the sound and tonal qualities of Elburn’s. This serves to add to the Elburn’s intrigue.
