Having visited several companies in my piano quest, and finding none to be unpleasant nor particularly unsatisfactory, my Lindeblad experience proved itself to be peculiarly superior. Peculiar insofar as the inventory is onsite in both the Dover location where the instruments are refinished, and the Pine Brook showroom where one can try the finished products. You will find the atmosphere to be dignified and comfortable with as much time as you please to explore the various instruments. Todd Lindeblad is more of a host and guide than a salesman, by that I mean to say that he never pressured me nor failed to accommodate whatever I needed in my search, I felt as if I were a member of the family from day one. Having conducted my search for a piano for over a year, I was impressed seeing the longevity of their technicians, many are Lindeblads, and others seemingly familial towards each other, that made me confident in the quality I would find with all of the components in their refurbished pianos. Wow! I just received my restored 1916 Steinway and am so ecstatic over what an amazing job the Lindeblad team did! Besides making the entire case come to life again, the reconditioned action allows me for the first time ever to create soft notes and nuances I was unable to achieve before. I was the winner of the Lindeblad Piano Sweepstakes for a fully restored Steinway grand piano. I could not be happier with my Steinway A3 piano. Lindeblad made the process easy for me the entire way. When I was first notified that I had won I had several conversations with the great people there who helped me pick out a piano, talked to me about my preferences, and the music I like to play, and helped me really fine tune the instrument to not just be just as good as a new Steinway, but built around my preferences. I never felt lost in the process, and they were always willing to talk me through some of the parts that I didn't understand. I even got the to pick the color! When delivering the piano they took the utmost care getting it into my home, and placed the piano exactly where we wanted it. Everyone was polite and had our needs in mind. I was happy to get the chance to talk with the people of Lindeblad. The piano far exceeds my expectations and was a life changing experience for me to now have such a quality instrument in my home studio for personal and professional use.
Lindeblad has given me amazing service on the purchase and rebuild of my 1920s A3. The result is beautiful both sonically and visually! The team was knowledgable, patient, worked with me to find the right instrument, and presented all the different options without any pressure. They were completely transparent on all the materials used, walked me through the shop to see the work myself, sent pictures during the rebuild, and were diligent in ensuring everything was perfect at and after delivery (follow up was great.) The craftsmanship is superb, and the experience was very professional and low pressure (important for a big purchase!) The voicing was done perfectly, matching the profile that Paul and I discussed over a set of conversations. I highly recommend them if you're looking for an absolutely top quality instrument.
We had Lindeblad Piano restore our 1927 S&S A3 Louis XV piano and the entire experience with them was phenomenal.
