I have played our piano repeatedly over the several months since you restored it, and I would like you to know how pleased we are with the piano and with the experience of dealing with your company.
Our Knabe upright has been in the family since 1933. Because it is 100 years old and we were faced with having it restored for the very first time in its life, I did a lot of research and legwork before selecting a piano restoration shop. Your consistent professionalism and the professionalism of everyone involved in your company is a rare thing and has been a breath of fresh air compared to the manner of other piano ships that I spoke with.
My father and I also wanted to make sure that, after restoration, the piano would continue to have a mellow voice. We were glad to hear, upon playing it, that the piano has the mellow sound that my father and I both prefer.
When I look at the beautiful traditional dark mahogany finish that you have the piano, and the Knabe decal, and the careful reveneering you did on the piano's toes, I realize one of the most valuable parts of the restoration job you did is the restraint you showed not to alter the historical integrity and appearance of the instrument.
It seems to me you and your company carry on old traditions of piano work in a rich and distinguished way.
